According to its official website, Wayex is a crypto and stablecoin payments app founded in Australia in 2018 as CryptoSpend. Its Australian services are provided by CRYPTOSPEND PTY LTD (ABN 12 630 245 813) trading as "Wayex"; the company has held its own AFS licence (AFSL 568528) since 27 August 2026 and is registered with AUSTRAC as a digital currency exchange (DCE). The Australian app offers trading in 137 crypto assets, AUD balances, recurring purchases (AutoBuy), an OTC desk for trades above AUD 50,000 and institutional services; trading fees start at 0.40% and fall to 0% depending on 30-day volume, and AUD deposits and withdrawals via PayID, NPP and BSB are free. The prepaid Wayex card, promoted as "Australia's first crypto Visa card", is issued by Flexewallet Pty Ltd (AFSL 448066), with Cryptospend acting as distributor and promoter. The global Wayex services (USD and EUR accounts, a stablecoin Visa card) are provided by Wayex Global S.A., registered in Panama, and that card is issued by Lead Bank.
