According to its official website, ACE Union is a payments and e-money service that lets individuals and businesses send and manage personal and business payments worldwide; its legal name is Ace Union Limited. Personal services include international money transfers to bank accounts and, in some countries, mobile wallets, airtime top-ups, bill payments for Pakistan only and an e-money account that can be spent by card; video ID verification is used at account opening. ACE Business currently offers only single-director UK companies an e-money business account, international B2B payments at live exchange rates, Direct Debits and contactless NFC acceptance (Tap to Pay); invoicing and virtual and physical cards are described as coming soon. The company states that it is authorised by the FCA as an Authorised Electronic Money Institution under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 and the Electronic Money Regulations 2011 (FRN 900476); it says e-money is not a deposit and is not covered by the FSCS, and that client funds are safeguarded.
