Card acceptance agreements in the United Kingdom are made with American Express Payment Services Limited, registered at Belgrave House in London; according to the card acceptance terms of March 2024, the company is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 to provide payment services (FRN 484347). The site also says that American Express Services Europe Limited, which issues cards in the United Kingdom, is authorised and regulated by the FCA (FRN 661836).
