It was founded on 10 December 1964 as Email (Orange) Employees Credit Union with 19 members at a meeting of Email factory employees; it became Orange Mutual Credit Union in 1973 and Orange Credit Union around its 30th anniversary, grew through mergers, and has used the name Bank Orange since 2024. Its branch is on Summer Street in Orange. Its products include the Budget and Prestige transaction accounts, the All Purpose Savings, Bonus Saver, Online Saver and Youth Saver savings accounts, term deposits and the Wealth Builder term deposit, home loans and a mortgage offset account, car and personal loans and insurance options through partnerships with QBE, Westfund and Zurich.
