According to its official website, Binance is a cryptocurrency exchange launched in July 2017 that says it serves more than 320 million registered users in over 180 countries. According to the licences page on the site, the global platform Binance.com operates through three companies regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM): the recognised investment exchange Nest Exchange Limited, the recognised clearing house Nest Clearing and Custody Limited (formerly Binance (AD) Limited) and Nest Trading Limited, which holds a Financial Services Permission. The group also says it holds local licences and registrations through Binance FZE in Dubai, BN KZ Technologies Limited in Kazakhstan (AIFC), Binance Japan Inc. in Japan, Gulf Binance (a joint venture of Binance and Gulf Edge) in Thailand, Binance Services Latinoamérica S.A. de C.V. in Argentina and El Salvador, and group companies in Bahrain, Australia, Mexico and Brazil. The site says it offers spot, margin, futures and options trading in hundreds of cryptocurrencies, P2P trading, Binance Earn products, U.S. stocks and ETFs for eligible users, and OTC and institutional services, and that available features vary by region. This information is the company's own statement. The headquarters information is based on the Al Reem Island, Abu Dhabi address registered for the Nest companies in the ADGM FSRA register. In Turkey, the Binance TR platform is operated by Binance Turkey Kripto Varlık Alım Satım Platformu A.Ş., which uses the Binance brand under licence, and is listed as a separate institution.
