According to its official website, Cambridge Building Society (The Cambridge) is an independent, member-owned mutual that has helped people have a home and provided a safe place for savings since 1850, 175 years; customers become members with a vote at the AGM. It is headquartered in Cambridge. Savings include instant access accounts, fixed rate and tracker bonds, Cash ISAs, regular savers, children's accounts and business accounts; lending covers first-time buyers, remortgaging, buy-to-let, shared ownership, self-employed and retirement interest-only mortgages, plus 'Rent to Home', which turns part of the rent into a future deposit. The Instant Access Account requires at least GBP 100 to open. Accounts are managed online, through The Cambridge Money App, in store, by phone and by post. According to the Bank of England list and the FCA register, it is authorised by the PRA and regulated by the FCA and the PRA; the site publishes an FSCS information sheet.
