According to its official Cyprus website, Jordan Kuwait Bank is a Jordanian bank serving individual and institutional clients under the slogan "More than just a bank"; with a change plan launched in 1997 it expanded its services into areas such as investment advisory, insurance and brokerage. About 51% of its capital is owned by Al Rawabi United Holding Co., a subsidiary of Kuwait's KIPCO (Kuwait Investment Projects Company); the other shareholder with more than 5% is the Social Security Corporation.
