According to its official website, Kabayan Remit is an online money transfer service trading under the name of Kabayan Capital Ltd, aimed at Filipinos abroad sending money to the Philippines. The site says the company, registered in England and Wales under number 08111867, is authorised by the FCA as an authorised payment institution (FRN 710792) and is registered with HMRC as a money service business (12689111). Group company Kabayan Capital (Canada) Inc is registered with FINTRAC in Canada as a money services business and states that it holds a Revenu Québec licence in Quebec, while Kabayan Capital (USA) LLC reports money transmitter licences in Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Nevada and Maryland. Services through the website and iOS/Android app are transfers to Philippine bank accounts, cash pick-up at more than 11,000 locations, transfers to mobile wallets such as GCash and Maya, and bill payments; payment is by debit card, bank transfer, Pay by Bank, Apple Pay and Google Pay, while cash and credit cards are not accepted. In the UK transfer fees start at £2.99–£3.99, the first transfer is free, and the debit card and bank transfer limit is £5,000. This information is the company's own statement.
