According to its official website, Lumon is an international money transfer and currency exchange company that has served more than 70,000 customers since 2000 and is a portfolio company of Pollen Street Capital. According to its legal information page, Lumon Pay Ltd at 20 Farringdon Road, London is authorised by the FCA as an electronic money institution (FRN 902022); Lumon Risk Management Ltd at the same address (company no 06333730) holds FCA authorisations as an Authorised Payment Institution (FRN 567835) and as an investment firm (FRN 671108); Lumon FX Europe Limited is an electronic money institution regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland and operates a branch in Portugal. Non-MiFID payment services in the US are provided by Visa Global Services Inc. Individual customers are offered international transfers at bank-beating rates with no transfer fees and currency exchange especially for buying or selling property in Spain, France, Portugal, Turkey and other countries; on the corporate side more than 2,500 businesses are offered FX payments, currency hedging strategies and a dedicated dealer.
