According to its official website, Mangopay was founded in 2013 and provides wallet-based payment infrastructure for multi-party payment flows to businesses such as marketplaces, financial platforms, on-demand platforms, travel and hospitality, SaaS and crypto platforms; the site says it was acquired by Advent International and has offices in Paris, Warsaw, Luxembourg, Madrid, Berlin, London and Dublin. According to the legal notice, Mangopay S.A. is a public limited company incorporated in Luxembourg and approved as an electronic money institution by the CSSF. Users of UK platforms are served under separate UK terms by Mangopay U.K. Ltd in London; according to these terms, the company is authorised by the FCA for the issuance of electronic money and the provision of payment services (FRN 984753). Products include multi-currency wallets, virtual IBANs, payment acceptance, payouts, FX, identity verification and fraud prevention tools; the service is integrated into platforms via API, and end users use their Mangopay account through these platforms.
