According to its official website, NatWest is the brand of National Westminster Bank Plc, formed after National Provincial Bank and Westminster Bank agreed to merge in 1968, which began trading on 1 January 1970; the bank is part of NatWest Group, which also includes the Royal Bank of Scotland and Ulster Bank NI brands and serves over 20 million customers. Its registered office is at 250 Bishopsgate, London. Through natwest.com it offers current accounts (Reward, Premier, student, child and joint accounts), savings accounts and cash ISAs, credit cards, loans, mortgages, investments and insurance, as well as banking for businesses and corporates, via online banking, the NatWest app and branches. The Fixed Term Savings account can be opened from GBP 1. NatWest Markets Plc, named on NatWest's corporate pages for foreign exchange services, also appears on the Bank of England list as a separate bank. According to the Bank of England list and the FCA register, National Westminster Bank Plc and NatWest Markets Plc are authorised by the PRA to accept deposits and are regulated by the FCA and the PRA.
