The complaint distribution is based on the 1-star reviews on the Newbury Building Society Trustpilot page (15) as of 8 October 2026; one person's reviews count once, and records about fake sites and third parties using the Newbury Building Society name are left out. Across the complaints, lock-outs at account opening and login, mortgage applications declined at a late stage, rate cuts not fully passed on to mortgages and problems with ISA transfers and deposits stand out.
