According to its official website, Recognise Bank was founded in 2017 by experienced business owners who saw a gap between traditional business banking and the needs of modern SMEs, and received its banking licence in 2021. The UK-incorporated Recognise Bank Limited is headquartered on Worship Street, London. The bank offers SMEs business loans, bridging loans and commercial mortgages and works with dedicated relationship managers; on the savings side it has fixed-rate and notice personal savings accounts and easy access, notice and fixed-rate business savings accounts. Between 1,000 and 250,000 GBP can be deposited in the savings accounts, which are opened and managed online. The site says eligible deposits are protected by the FSCS up to 120,000 GBP and that its loan facilities are non-regulated. According to the Bank of England list and the FCA register, Recognise Bank Limited is authorised by the PRA to accept deposits and is regulated by the FCA and the PRA.
