According to its official website, Tipton & Coseley Building Society was founded on 1 May 1901 as the Tipton & District Permanent Building Society and has served its members since 1901. Its head office is at 70 Owen Street, Tipton; keeping its roots in the Black Country, it opened offices in places such as Coseley, Sedgley, Dudley and Bilston and later added a branch in Codsall. It offers easy access, notice and fixed rate savings accounts, cash ISAs, children's and business accounts; its mortgage range covers homebuyers, buy-to-let and expat buy-to-let, credit repair (Credit Plus), family assist, high income multiple, mortgages into retirement and shared ownership, as well as remortgages of these. Accounts are managed through the Tipton app and online service; the Cash Zone children's account has a minimum balance of GBP 10. According to the Bank of England list and the FCA register, it is authorised by the PRA and regulated by the FCA and the PRA; the site states that savings are protected by the FSCS up to GBP 120,000.
