According to its official website, Verto is a financial technology company founded in 2017 that builds cross-border payment and FX solutions for businesses; its platform and APIs provide payment, FX and banking services with a focus on developing countries in Africa. Its products include multi-currency business accounts with local bank details, international and local payments, payment links, spot and over-the-counter (OTC) FX and treasury management, a Visa corporate card spending from 11 currency wallets and the embedded collections and payouts API Verto Atlas; the company says it has more than 5,000 business clients. The site states that VertoFX Ltd is authorised by the FCA as an electronic money institution under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011 (FRN 901073). According to its licences page, Verto SA (Pty) Ltd is an FSCA-authorised financial services provider in South Africa (FSP 52835), the Dubai branch of VertoFX Ltd is authorised by the DFSA (F005704), and VertoFX Ltd holds IMTO approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria; in the United States VertoFX Inc operates under money transmitter licences in Delaware, Wyoming and Illinois and through a partnership with Global Innovations Bank, while Verto Canada Ltd is registered with FINTRAC as a money services business (an anti-money-laundering registration, not a licence).
