Établissement de monnaie électronique · Royaume-Uni
According to its official website, WeavePay is a payment platform for internationally active businesses; WeavePay and weavepay.io are trading names of WeavePay Limited. The site states that the company is authorised by the FCA under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011 for the issuing of electronic money (FCA registration number 935764), that it is not a bank and that client funds are safeguarded separately at banks in the UK and the EEA; its headquarters are at Mermaid House, 2 Puddle Dock, London. It says it was founded in 2019 and processes £840 million a year, with more than 35 team members and more than 190 payment destinations. Services include multi-currency accounts with dedicated IBANs in more than 30 currencies, a direct USD channel, foreign exchange, physical and virtual Visa debit cards, Apple Pay and a dedicated account manager. The site says it serves businesses from startups to large enterprises and holding companies, works only with a select clientele making payments above a certain threshold and does not work with high-risk sectors such as gambling, crypto and adult entertainment. The pricing page lists Local (£20 a month, £100 account opening fee), Global (£100 a month, £600 setup fee) and tailored Bespoke plans. This information is the company's own statement.

The complaint distribution is based on the 1-star reviews on WeavePay's Trustpilot page (1) as of 8 October 2026; one person's reviews count once, and records about fake sites and third parties using the WeavePay name are left out. Across the complaints, a paid verification process, a multi-currency account service that was not provided, and high transfer fees stand out.
